Beneath

Beneath is an interactive installation that merges body-tracking technology with analog material sensibility. Positioned directly on the gallery floor, the work invites viewers to lie down beneath a ceiling-mounted projection. Using machine learning and real-time motion capture, the viewer’s movements are translated into a dynamic visual composition of roots, moss, and forest textures. The projected imagery—reminiscent of bodily systems and organic growth—responds fluidly to presence, creating an intimate exchange between human body and digital landscape.

Combining immersive installation art, interactive video, and natural imagery, Beneath explores themes of grounding, transformation, and bodily memory. The work emphasizes slowness, breath, and decay as counterpoints to virtual overstimulation, inviting stillness and embodied reflection.
