silver gelatin photograms

Date

2025

Light touches the surface directly, without a lens — like memory pressing into skin. These silver gelatin photograms are made by placing slumped glass sculptures from Hinge Points onto light-sensitive paper and exposing them to light. The glass bends and refracts the beam, creating softened impressions that seem to float between clarity and glow.

Each print is a moment of contact, where material and light align and leave a trace. The surface remembers weight, warmth, and the gentle pull of gravity. These images carry the gesture of touch — a brief alignment that holds both presence and transformation.

The works extend the dialogue begun in Hinge Points, translating volume into surface, and tension into silver.
